Verification

Why do we need your data?

To let you open an account from anywhere, without a trip to a branch, we have to confirm you are who you say you are. This one-time check is called identity verification (KYC), and it protects both you and everyone else on the platform.

What we ask for

Why it matters

By confirming your identity, we meet the regulations that apply to us and help stop the app being used for money laundering, financing of terrorism, or fraud such as identity theft. In short, it does two things at once: keeps us compliant and keeps everyone safer.

Think of it as the same check a bank would do, just done from your phone, in a few minutes, instead of in person. Your details are handled with care and used only for verification and security. Your crypto itself is held by BitGo, a regulated custodian — not by us.

One check, then you're set.

Verification is a one-time step. Once it's done, you're free to explore, learn, and start when you're ready.
